SIPFLS Dubbing Competition

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

This Tuesday the Chinese department had a competition with students to let them act out and do voiceover work for their favorite movies. They invited me to come help judge the competition and I was blown away not only by how well the students got into character but also how fun it was. The students had some rehearsal time and worked really hard to get their costumes and lines right. It's always great to see activities that take students out of the classroom and let them try something new.

A surprise selfie before my students knew what I was doing.

A scene from The Secret Life of Pets

A scene from Kungfu Panda

A scene from Mr Peabody and Herman

Of course Mulan

The other judges and me. I'm probably rereading the instructions so I know what I'm doing.

The arrival of the students. Even though they didn't participate, they enjoy the break from classes.

A scene from Frozen.

So that's it. Just a quick post on some of the more creative ideas from my school. The students liked it and everyone went home happy.
